of barbaric nature, and uncivilized mentality

Its extra curricular time.. school ends at 5p.m..Students were not even allowed to go out to buy lunch.. so, majority stayed in school from 7.15 a.m to 5p.m.. school just gets better eh? :) anyway, to the point..

Koko started at 3 and suppose to end at 5.. this is d first time school is trying this new policy whereby the whole school have koko at the same time..all uniform bodies running concurrently.. sounds great eh? so, i went for my uniform body meeting.. we had a few lessons of marching, some laughing, some lazing around.. the normal Koko.. after we finished, we were dismissed.. it was 4.15..
i went to my car, started it, and a group of man teachers called me.. i went to them....,,,,,,,,

They raised their voice at me, asking where am i going.. I told them i'm going back (in a very nice respectful tone).. one shouted, u r not allowed to go back! another say, its not 5 yet! i explained that we already finish and were dismissed.. one shout, Nono! cannot go back yet! so my next quest was, what am i gonna do? one shouted, just go and sit around! Then, this specific male teacher asked me in a harsh voice "Which teacher dismissed u all?!" it was a young teacher who was just transferred in.. thats it.. d nuclear in me went off.. however, i answered his question in a proper tone.. and went away..

Realise that teacher who stands out like a soar thumb?? the one acting like an imbecile? ya... he's the one.. some new teacher comes in and asks quest in such a tone thinking he is more superior then all the other age old respected educators.. firstly, my fellow teachers.... there was no need to shout or raise ur voice at me.. I AM NOT A KID! tell me properly that i cannot go home.. secondly, u fellows talk as if i am intentionally doing a crime.. if i knew that i had to get every teacher's consent to go back, i would have jump out the back drain.. it was an unintentional misconception.. talk to me properly that i cant go back yet! argh..

well, these is one of the many types of teachers we have.. one who is all out to prove their superiority to us students.. to show us who is d master and who is d slave..who gives d orders n who listens..sounds like an animal trying to show dominance..and some just cannot voice out an assertive thought! its either talk soft, or talk like a gangster.. what man!

my fellow teachers, lets face reality.. times have changed, and is changing.. brute strength and male ego no longer rule.. its the ability to persuade and to gain respect..so, think! their objective was to stop me from going back.. the route they took, was to show me I'M THE BOSS! and not a route of proper conversation..so much for leading by example eh?? and new teachers, common.... every school is different.. if ur heart is really into teaching, take ur time to tune in to the school's way of doing things.. dont come in wit a preconceived idea that u are almighty..there are many more teachers almightier and the almightiest mighty!

and so, the next time u c an article in d newspaper about a student beating up a teacher or smth like that.. dont shake ur head, frown, curse the student and sigh about the so called "deteriorating manners" in students "these days"... instead, try to think of WHY this student went to the extreme of hitting that teacher..

i am not insulting teachers.. i am just voicing out what others and me think..and, its not to every teacher.. i have high regards and respect for many teachers as well.. their dedication, their compassionate yet assertive heart in making decisions, their full-well intentions for the shaping of character in students, their desire to see the school achieve greater heights..yes, there are these too.. and, my utmost respect and bows to them for these are the ones society can hang on to.. these are the ones students or may i say teenagers are going to follow and take as their role models..
