homework

Jazz Concert
homework time.. on monday, teacher AJ7 took us to a jazz concert..Tay Cher Siang's WVC's Trio +1..and so, our homework was to write about it..

personally, not a fan of jazz.. classical? neh..blues? yuck! anyway, i still hold to my favourite..religious pop still my personal favourite..

If u ask a person with no musical background, jazz will just seem like musicians showing off and boasting that they can play.. the solos and stuff..yeah..very boastful.. but to me, its ok.. I've never seen a jazz concert before so its was an interesting first time.. What caught my interest was not the music itself, but the skills of each individual in the band..

Skill wise, 100% respect.. though i have finished my grade8 in piano, i seoiusly felt so stupid..haha.. Its so wasteful.. the amount of money put into my music education, and i just left it to rot..starting to play some old classical pieces to polish my rusty fingers..hopefuly i can play well again soon..haha

Anyway, love the bassist and keyboardist.. the drummer too.. too bad in jazz, only the brass wind and piano is appreaciated.. the bass and drum din't have a chance to solo..imagine that...so unfair..they were as skillful and as passionate.. c why i dont like jazz? no equality..

From what i learnt at the concert, a jazz piece is made up the head (ori melody), and 2 bodies (variated melody).. well, a classical piece also has that outline.. i think..haha..not much new on that part..

end of report..sorry, i know its a crappy one..but i am still the first to complete my work..:P
