FOCUS!

school is starting around the corner for me, and my mind is still not in tuned to focusing. Thoughts zoom at super speeds in my mind. One after another. Before one thought can be considered, another zooms by. And this, kills me. Wanna know why? let me give u an example.

Sistem beraja yang diamalkan di negeri-negeri Melayu berkembang mengikut sejarah dan.......... "i should update my blog later", "no, mayb go c my friends","study for an hour and half then i'll stop","tomorrow must wake up early so must sleep early tonight","MYF Sunday is coming","where is Isreal, Jordan and Jerusalem?","FOCUS!!"......kebudayaan Melayu yang pada peringkat awalnya dipengaruhi oleh unsur agama......."stop peeling ur nails!","how am i gonna put this into compact notes?","i should visit the Balai Nobat day after tomorrow","must go check bus ticket to penang tomorrow","some one's birthday is coming up!","FOCUS!!!!!!!"..........Hindu-Buddha. "what did i just read!? argh!" Sistem beraja yang diamalkan di negeri-negeri Melayu....., and the cycle goes on.

Times have changed. Everything is fast going. Everything is using the principal of "now u c, now u dont!" Our minds are full of all these fast things that we cant slow it down anymore. Everything is now made to be on the go. Fast. cars are getting faster, computer technology is at an amazing speed, work can be done on the laptop on the go, wireless connection is easily available at many eating shops now, commercials are adding more scenes per second, and many many more. Everything is just so fast. To give u an example, a C2 drink advertisement on the tv had 19 scenes in just 25 seconds! Prego sauce, had 8 scenes in a mere 14 seconds. Try counting the movements in Transformers movie per second. impossible! And because of all these, reading forces the brain to think at a snail pace. Understanding a line of words and interpreting them. The longer the line is, the harder it is to focus. I believe this doesn't happen only to me.

Its high time i learn to slow down. First on my plan, consistent longer quiet time, and a weekly fasting quiet retreat! hope it goes well:)
