Kedah's Sultan golden Jubilee Celebration

Yesterday, 15.07.2008 was Sultan of Kedah's 50 golden jubilee. It was a public holiday for us in Kedah, and there was a grand procession. In the morning, the Sultan had a procession from the Wisma to the Balai Nobat. There were school bands, elephants, horses, a grandly decorated
float where the Sultan and Sultanah sat in, polices, an army truck, pertahanan awam truck, ambulance and an mpks truck that carried the Sultan's stairs..haha.. The main event happened at the Balai Nobat. 3 canons fired a sum of 50 shots. The sound and vibration was superb..!!! i could feel my specs vibrating. Car alarms even went off. I couldn't see what was really happening at the stage because there were so many many many people. The whole thing started at about 8.30, and ended at 11. At night, there were artists who came and perform near a mall, together with presentation of maotai fights. At 11, there were fire works that brightened up the dark sky with colourful glitters. Guess what.... They launched the fire works from my school... Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid (Sultan Abdul Hamid College). Despite all the things that happened, i think that the Sultan deserves more than this as a token of appreciation. He is the second Sultan to reach a Golden Jubilee. It only happens once in a life.
