sabah n sarawak
NOW.... our government is finally gonna do something..i hope..
rape and molestation on Penan girls by loggers was reported last year.. a committee was set up to check and all those nonsense.. even when i read about it last year, i somehow already believed.. but as usual, our government will just shut up, spend time and money on stupid things.. finaly when the report is out, they pretend to jump and pretend to take actions..
the fact is this.. Peninsular Malaysia has been forking out everything from sbah and sarawak, but they get nothing in return.. timber and oil from sabah and sarawak has always been a major income to out country's economy.. but too bad they dont get to enjoy the benifits their own land produce.. till today, there still nomads living in sabah and sarawak! our government has been allocating funds and stimulus packages for education and to abolish poverty and stuff.. but all those are only focused to the peninsular..
its sad to c our own fellow citizens suffering.. imagine..getting rape on the way to school..sigh.. what the heck are the police there doing!? our government are always focusing on patty issues.. small isues are made big.. media attention, special rights.. bullshit man.. after 52 years of "glorious" independence, sabah and sarawak are still like that..
cant kementerian kebajikan or some other kementerian allocate some funds to provide transportation for school children?? wouldnt that open up job opportunities too?? well, it will seem like something impossible.. as it is, billions are spent on the latest H1N1 case.. 7 "special labs" are being established in Malaysia.. for a 23 million ppl country, that is a wastage!!! what happened to "we are ready" b4 H1N1 hit us.. besides, they spend all their time and effort on whacking the ass of a caught drinking malay woman (Kartika).. aint that just great..
10 years olds getting molested..what has happened to humanity..

Well, I think it's because Sabah and Sarawak had special rights when they joined Malaysia, such as the usage of English as official language, and just last thursday I learned in PA that their land is controlled by their own state government instead of kerajaan pusat... When they have meetings in dunno what kementerian or jabatan they only send representative to overlook and do nothing, neither do they vote when making decisions. And maybe from the start PTM only wants sabah and sarawak as a "gold mine", with all that trees and oil. So....
it's not so much that the gov focus on developing peninsular. they do allocate money for the indigenous ppl of the whole country. the question is how many percent of it reaches the people. so it's actually more of the corrupted ppl between the gov and the ppl rather than wrong gov policies. that's what i think.
the government only cares about the money in the pocket of those who works in the government... who else will care about the little citizens? Being molested is juz a small case, even you are murdered also they won't do anything~
I've heard and learn some very interesting things about the people in Borneo. Not so much of the government policies or anything of that. Share with you when I come back
