Bota Kanan

Went to an orang asli village at Perak on Sat, with the church missions outreach team.. This village is called Bota Kanan, and its in the middle of an oil palm estate. Last I went there was about 4 years back. Now, things have changed from the way i remember it. They have proper clothes to wear, medication (though only the once who can afford), even specs, (those who can afford also), electricity, proper toilets and motorcycles. Last I went ppl would b running naked, and their only transport were bicycles that would fall into pieces any time.. A few picts to show things there now..
The view everywhere u turn... be it up,down, left or right, its the same..

A luxurious lunch for us.. The sambal fish, they cought them the day b4 we went.. on the plate there are wild boar, jack fruit curry, wild brinjal, papaya leaf, and bamboo shoot.. though its not our everyday food, its very nice.. and u cant pay to get these in town..

Ah... DURIANS.. We also had a chance to eat wild durians, not the typical mixed breed once u find in town.. For that much, i think it'll cost about 50 to 70 ringgit or more..

The first, is part of the village.. C the hut in blue without roof..? Thats their toilet.. The second.., NEW and IMPROVED toilet..haha..took them 6 weeks to built.. The only toilet in the village with proper piping system.. That also, everything goes in the gound.. If the hole everflow..? That i dono..

Longing for an electrict stove?? They use fire wood to cook...

After visiting there, i realise how good life can be.. All we do in the city is chase.. What.?? Material things, money, education, living standards.. Just being there a day already made me like that place.. Things there goes slowly..time there is plenty.. They have not much but are still happy and contented. Teens there learn how to play guitars and drums themselves. Ppl there are united.. U c everybody mingling around.. Here, i can bet ppl don even know who their neighbor is.. The interiors provide food for them, the air up there is cool, and the green makes you feel calm.. No black soot, bus noises, rempits, robbery, blazing afternoon sun..Ohhhh....awsome.. I think i might actually consider being a teacher and teach there.. Living there would not be such a bad thing...
