KTM Komuter

Since 1995, it has been a long 15 years since KTM has offered their commuter services in Selangor. And in these 15 years, i can say that KTM is a slow learner. Besides opening more stations and offer passengers more routes to go to, accepting Touch 'n Go fare cards in 2005 is the "smartest" thing done till last year. With 36,557 million passengers in 2008, we should think that it wouldn't be a bad option to use this service.

And just a week ago, i had the opportunity to use this oh-so-profitable service. I know i know.. kuno right? but at least i still tried it! and i promise u, it was my last. Imagine a small enclosed coach with a pool of ppl..sweating, stinking, pushing, touching all a mere cm away from u.. That is the atmosphere in the commuter. And apparently, it wasnt "peak" hours yet! It was madness in there. Going in the train, u can forget about manners..coming out, the same principal applies. Everyone just wants to squeeze in that narrow door. In and out, its the same door. Lady or man, every part of their body is used to path their way out/in.

While in the coach, there was this dude's hand rustling my butt from behind. God knows whether its on purpose or not. But i think not. Cos he would b gay then. Anyway,my face was millimeters away from the dude beside me, my back and shoulders were stuck to other ppl's. There was no where for me to hold on to, as i couldn't move and was clutching to my bag. To make things worse, the stupid commuter had to accelerate and decelerate periodically to keep it at a constant speed. That, was my experience.

The thing that got me mad was seeing my friends in the same coach. The difference is, they are girls. To think that they are experiencing the same things i was really pissed me. KTM already knows that 60% of it's passengers are ladies, and the other 40% consists majority of horny brainless man. Yet nothing was done. Articles after articles, complains after complains were lodged but things were still the same. I read one complaint a lady published, saying a man behind her actually took out his penis and rubbed her behind! if i was that lady, the man's last toilet break would b the last he remember peeing from that hole!

And so, introducing "Ladies only at all Times".. the "smartest" move that tops the list. and that, took 15 years..haih. With this implemented, hopefully the ride would b more comfortable for ladies. Thing i wonder is, will we be rising a generation of young molesters as boys under 12 r allowed to enter? haha..

One thing I've learn from this.. ppl say that reading broadens our mind. Neh, reading just gives u a fake graphic according to what the writer wants u to think. To broaden yourself, you need to experience things for yourself. Next time u see a pict in the papers which show our PM in the commuter smiling in the pink of health with so much space, don't believe it..it's a conspiracy!
